Monday 28th February 2022- Welsh Heritage Week

Saint David's Day is the first week back after half term. During the week the children will be learning about their Welsh heritage and working on their competition entries for the Eisteddfod, which will be held on Friday 4th March. As the Tuesday is Saint David's Day and our Eisteddfod is on Friday we would love to see children coming into school wearing their Welsh costumes or colours linked to the Welsh flag- Red, white and green on both these days.

Changes and a Goodbye!

Sadly we will be saying goodbye and good luck to Mrs Samantha Banks who will be leaving us to take up a new post as ALNCo in St James’ Primary. She is currently the teacher in Blue Class in Bedwas  on Thursdays and Fridays and is also the Additional Learning Needs co-ordinator for both of our schools. Her last day with us will be Friday 18th February. She will be leaving very big shoes to fill and to that end… Mrs Kate Bradley will be the Blue Class teacher on Thursday afternoons and all day Friday, Mrs Hillier will be extending her working week to cover Thursday mornings and Mr Dimeck will be taking over as the ALNCo for our Federation.

Mrs Banks has been a massive part of Bedwas’ ongoing success and we all wish her the best in the future, St James’ and Mrs Dargie are very lucky indeed! I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of our schools to thank her for her hard work, commitment and loyalty.
