Parent Teacher Consultations
It was great to be able to hold face to face meetings this term, it was also very encouraging to be able to welcome so many of you to the school for our recent consultations. These meetings are an essential part of the links between home and school along with platforms such as SeeSaw. Thank you all for attending.
We hope that the combination of face to face consultations, SeeSaw, our texting service, the physical letters / newsletters, the website and the new sharing sessions (that we first held in summer) will work together to keep you informed about what’s going on in school. If you haven’t yet signed up for the texting service and would be interested in accessing this please contact Mrs Dee in the school office and she will be able to set you up.
Attendance
Well done to the children and thanks to all of you for helping to improve Bedwas’ attendance figures. Our attendance levels are up and despite all the viruses that have been making the rounds this term we have still achieved an attendance figure of around 93%. Although illness and consequent absences are unavoidable with children we appreciate the fact that when the children can be in, they are. We would like to work towards achieving our pre-covid levels of around 95% by the end of the year.
After-School Clubs
It has been such a positive experience to see all our after-school clubs running and to have so many children enjoying them. We are still chasing up people who could possibly run our Thursday netball club until Ms Storey is able to return but as of yet have not heard anything. We will keep trying.
Christmas Concert Dates
Once these are set we will share these with you; we hope to be able to do this immediately after half-term.
Colorfoto
Colorfoto have confirmed that they will be visiting us on the 28th November to take individual portraits and sibling groups.
Have a good half-term.
